Rock 'n' roll star Johnny Poke arrived at the Clampett home while in town for a performance at the Hollywood Bowl. Granny wasn’t pleased by the visit, concerned that Jethro might adopt some undesirable behaviors. Losing her patience, she declared that he needed to be taught a lesson, and momentarily imagined she had transformed him into a puppy needing discipline.
