Granny insisted on receiving her money in cash, and Drysdale attempted to dissuade her, an effort that proved unsuccessful. In his fluster, he inadvertently knocked over a stack of magazines, which scattered across the Clampetts, much to their displeasure – though his aim had been for his wife and her dog. He then tried to placate them by displaying a million dollars, hoping to deter Granny’s request, but only managed to send more objects flying in her direction.
