Elly’s disappointment at losing Dash to Miss Jane prompted Jed and Drysdale to intervene with their usual brand of well-meaning chaos. Meanwhile, Granny wrestled with the perplexing notion of why Dash would choose the unassuming Miss Jane over her own dazzling granddaughter. A new suitor, Biff Steel, was introduced as a potential match for Elly, but predictably, he too caught sight of Miss Jane and immediately assumed she was Miss Clampett.
