Cynthia Fenwick insists her wealthy mother adopt a deliberately rustic style—what she calls the "Clampett Look"—whenever they visit the Clampetts, convinced that Elly Masternson possesses impeccable taste. This only serves to solidify the Clampetts’ impression that the Fenwicks are struggling financially. Cynthia, in her naivete, believes Jethro is of noble birth, while Mrs. Fenwick mistakenly identifies Mrs. Drysdale as a household servant.
