Following Mr. Drysdale’s suggestion that he invest wisely, Jed bought cows, pigs, and chickens with the intention of raising them. Meanwhile, Granny began preparing her signature restorative mash, hoping to aid Mrs. Drysdale's struggle with alcohol. However, Mrs. Drysdale remained convinced she was experiencing a delusion; she kept seeing Granny standing just outside her window, and inexplicably, a goat and a chicken appeared in her bathroom.
