To graduate from the fifth grade, Jethro required a health certificate, necessitating a visit to the only doctor familiar to the Clampetts – Mrs. Drysdale’s psychiatrist. Dr. Twombly soon found himself in over his head with young Jethro as a patient. Having made no progress whatsoever, he was interrupted by Pearl, who misinterpreted his attempts to have her lie on the couch as a test of her virtue.
