Jethro arrived one day with a school acquaintance, Armstrong Dueser McHugh III, whose family employed a chauffeur who seemed to believe him delicate. The Clampetts, however, quickly recognized the boy's true spirit, offering him genuine companionship, hearty laughter, and the warmth of their close-knit family.
