Lamont suggested to Fred that he donate his collection of Blind Mellow Jelly records to a music library, citing the potential for a tax write-off. Following the donation, Fred learned from an appraiser that the records were worth five hundred dollars. Suddenly aware of the financial gain, Fred enlisted Bubba’s help, instructing him to pose as a son of Blind Mellow Jelly in a desperate attempt to reclaim the albums.
