The film falls into the trap that many sequels do, assuming that increased scale automatically equals improvement. It does delve deeper into the backstory, though whether this is actually beneficial is questionable, but fortunately it remains enjoyable because of the connection between Brendan Fraser’s and Rachael Weisz's characters. _Final rating:★★★ - I personally recommend you give it a go._
