It’s surprisingly comparable to its predecessor – but the recurring inclusion of children remains a persistent question. This time, Freddie Boath becomes part of the group of courageous explorers attempting to thwart a newly resurrected mummy (essentially, a reincarnation with a twist!). He discovers the Bracelet of Anubis, is taken captive, and then we're plunged into a lively chase against the clock through the desert, filled with various perils and unpleasant creatures. The "Scorpion King" also appears in this installment (which I won’t elaborate on), and Sommers maintains a brisk pace throughout. It functions purely as entertainment, and if that’s all you desire, then it doesn't fail to deliver within its chosen category.
