At auction, Lamont acquired two coffins, hoping to turn a profit by reselling them to a funeral home. The acquisition unsettled Fred, who grew deeply uneasy with the presence of the shrouded vessels in their home, refusing to sleep within its walls while they remained. Lamont dismissed his apprehension, but the tranquility of their evenings was soon disrupted by inexplicable sounds that echoed through the house in the darkness.
