Synopsis

Shishio issues a challenge for a duel, addressing Kenshin, Hajime, and Sanosuke. The contest is set for the following day, on Mount Hiei, at the northeast midpoint of the peak, within a small shrine marked by a six-storied torii gate. At Shishio’s stronghold, Hoji lays out a strategy for achieving “absolute victory” should the Ten Swords gather there. And on the eve of the duel, Kaoru speaks with Kenshin as he gazes into the night sky.
