Synopsis

The one who dispatched Hajime to confront Kenshin was Toshimichi Okubo, the Home Minister and veteran of the Satsuma rebellion. He implored Kenshin to journey to Kyoto, where a clandestine plot was afoot, orchestrated by a man claiming the mantle of the late Hitokiri Battosai. This individual, however, had been eliminated a decade prior by his own colleagues within the government, deemed a dangerous liability. Faced with this assignment – an assassination – what response will Kenshin offer?
