Synopsis

Cecil Fox, a man of notorious wickedness and convicted murderer of Justice Horace Mead, was escorted to the gallows at the Toronto courthouse. Murdoch, on duty as a witness, flinched as Pleasant released the trap, sending Fox to his death. During the subsequent post-mortem examination, Ogden observed a peculiar puncture wound in the throat. Intrigued, she leaned closer for a more detailed inspection, and Fox’s eyes snapped open. Before Ogden could react, he struck her unconscious and fled.
