It’s genuinely surprising to see Eddie Murphy delivering some laughs again—the kind of comedy reminiscent of his work in the 1980s. He seemed to be operating at peak performance. This movie, Shrek, really hits the mark as an exceptional work! It managed to shake up the established style of Disney films during that era by including genuinely funny moments and real emotion. The voice acting performances from Myers, Murphy, Diaz, and Lithgow were all very good. Considering it's been two decades since its release, I’m happy this film was made.
