While I understand that adapting a book to film requires cuts, it seems a significant portion of the movie’s content wasn’t actually drawn from the source material. The filmmakers seemed overly concerned with action sequences involving vehicles and didn't devote enough attention to the mystery at its heart. If you haven’t had a chance to read the novel, I strongly recommend doing so; it is considerably better!

The viewing was decent enough, especially with the 4DX effects.
