The film includes a scene where one character declares his feelings, and another immediately cautions him with a dismissive remark about the object of his affection’s potential appearance—specifically, suggesting they might be an overweight person residing with their mother. For just a moment, I felt like maybe this was going to be a movie exploring love that transcends physical attributes. But then the bleakness of the setting took over: even in a terrible situation, societal prejudices persist. The film operates within a harsh reality where kindness and understanding are absent; it's a place driven by self-interest alone—a perfect environment for someone lacking morality to succeed. And that’s exactly what seems to happen. I find Tye Sheridan visually appealing, but not enough so that I would want to experience this film again.
