It turned out I misjudged this one; it’s actually quite enjoyable and genuinely amusing. The story centers on a magician whom the residents of Oz believe possesses extraordinary abilities. His scheme involves deceiving everyone into believing he's extraordinarily gifted.

I’ve rarely encountered a film with such intensely saturated and bright colors. That is, setting aside the initial few minutes, which are presented in black and white as an apparent homage to the earlier Wizard of Oz. It's remarkable how effectively this works. This film feels excessively geared toward a young audience, employing tired gimmicks intended to capitalize on the 3D experience. The animation itself is disappointing; despite being visually bright, it ultimately becomes tedious. Children might find something to like, but adults would probably be best off skipping it.
