It’s exactly what you'd anticipate from a "Mission: Impossible" installment. The story isn’t particularly innovative or clever, but it functions acceptably. Cruise, Pegg, and Rhames are essential to keeping the series going, whereas Renner and Baldwin seem somewhat superfluous. Ferguson proves to be a welcome addition, commanding considerable focus throughout the film. The direction is solid.
