This film really resonated with me; it released when I was eight years old. At the time, I recall feeling envious of Kevin, as I longed for the opportunity to be left by myself and do exactly what I pleased.

It’s not particularly strong when you consider the details, yet _Home Alone_ can still be an enjoyable watch if you aren't looking too closely. While none of the characters are especially appealing and the film has a rather harsh tone, that might actually be helpful for unwinding during the holiday season. Final rating:★★★ - I liked it.
