It wasn’t really a terrible film. It struck me that there are numerous plant species globally contributing to various forms of pollution, which can be detrimental to people's health. A courtroom scene where the characters were put under pressure would have improved it; I think seeing them face consequences would have been interesting.

This is a really strong movie. Julia Roberts gives an excellent performance. Perhaps it runs on a bit – maybe ten to fifteen minutes could have been trimmed – but even with that, *Erin Brockovich* remains a captivating story based on real events.
