Synopsis

In this suspenseful thriller, Jack Ryan becomes acting Deputy Director of Intelligence for the CIA when Admiral Greer is diagnosed with a terminal illness. Ryan must investigate the brutal murder of a prominent American businessman with close ties to the President, and uncover the truth behind the crime. Meanwhile, former CIA operative John Clark undertakes a dangerous mission in Colombia to eliminate drug cartel leaders. As Ryan investigates, he discovers connections between the murdered businessman and the illegal drug trade, as well as internal cover-ups within the CIA that complicate his investigation. Caught in a web of political intrigue and personal risk, Ryan's determination to find the truth leads him to a dangerous confrontation. He must expose powerful enemies before they can act, relying on his instincts to dismantle a criminal empire and bring those responsible to justice.
