Having just defeated Mushmouse in their latest contest, Punkin' Puss discovered it was “Catch as cat can day,” meaning he now had to spend his time fleeing from the formidable Suzy McStump rather than continuing their usual rivalry. Understanding that should he be captured and forced to marry her, Mushmouse would finally find peace within his mouse hole, Punkin’ Puss resolved to assist Suzy in her pursuit.
