30. The Return of Happy SpanglerApr 18, 1962Synopsis
Laura encountered Happy Spangler, who astounded her by correctly identifying her husband. Rob himself owed his initial career opportunity to Happy. Eager to repay the debt, Rob proposed a position to Happy, envisioning him assisting Buddy and Sally with the show’s writing, though he confessed his own inadequacy in that area. However, the group soon found Happy’s presence tiresome. Ultimately, Rob had to dismiss him; Happy proved unable to generate a single joke.
