Esther had come to the Sanford house with the intention of persuading Fred to sing in the upcoming talent show. Grady, already scheduled to perform a magic act, had devised his most audacious trick yet: he would handcuff Fred and Esther together. The only complication was that the instructions for freeing them from this predicament were written in Chinese, a language none of them understood.
