A letter arrived for Fred, postmarked with the name of someone named Carol. The letter asserted they had known each other forty years prior, and that Carol was planning a visit. Fred had no recollection of a Carol in his past, and he was unprepared for the revelation that awaited him. Carol, it turned out, was a man. And then came the second shock: a claim that he and Fred had robbed a bank together years ago.
