Synopsis

Earl resolved to teach English as a Second Language, hoping to atone for past unkindness toward those with foreign accents. His resolve coincided with the release of Ralph, an old friend, from prison. Earl attempted to guide Ralph toward a more virtuous path, speaking of karma and consequence. Instead, Ralph descended into criminality, orchestrating the kidnapping of Randy in a desperate bid to seize Earl’s lottery winnings.
