The forthcoming Marvel program on Netflix deals with difficult themes related to experiences of mistreatment—including physical, sexual, and psychological harm. Kristen Ritter gave a commendable performance as the central figure, and David Tennant was also effective in his role as Kilgrave. Though I felt let down by the conclusion, I’m glad it wrapped up well.
