Synopsis

It is summer in Antarctica, and under a sky bathed in perpetual daylight, an urgent breeding season unfolds. Two million fur seals throng the beaches of South Georgia, driven by instinct. When their pups arrive, powerful bulls fiercely defend their females, attacking any who dare to approach. Elsewhere, Chinstrap penguins navigate glacial streams and ascend precipitous cliffs in search of food for their young, while formidable leopard seals lie in wait.
