The Choshi Electric Railway traces a 6.4-kilometer route through Chiba Prefecture, a lifeline for approximately 20,000 residents. Yet, facing a dwindling population and a declining birthrate, the line has long teetered on the brink of closure. In a bid to secure its future, the company's president has proposed a series of unconventional strategies: auctioning station names, organizing special excursion trains, and even developing a film project, all aimed at revitalizing the railway's fortunes.
