Synopsis

The concluding portion of James's southward passage takes him to Shikoku and Kyushu, the largest of Japan’s southern islands – a breathtaking realm of azure waters and sun-kissed, sandy shores. His itinerary includes cycling expeditions, archery practice, noodle preparation, and a visit to a motorbike factory; and, in a curious turn, he finds himself memorialized in a village of unsettling scarecrows.
