Synopsis

Chicken dreaded the morning's schoolwork. When faced with the prospect of lessons, he employed elaborate schemes to avoid them. A forgotten textbook became a convenient excuse; a sudden ailment, a more persuasive one. He’d even attempted to fabricate illness, holding his thermometer over the hearth to simulate a fever. His parents, however, were not easily fooled. They summoned the doctor – a man known only as the Red Guy – who made his rounds at the house.
