Synopsis

Dust motes danced in the shafts of sunlight slicing through the attic's gloom. It had been years since anyone truly ventured up here, a forgotten repository of memories and discarded treasures. Now, however, it held something new: the scent of fresh paint and the murmur of unfamiliar voices. A couple had recently moved into the house, and the attic was their first exploration. The initial excitement quickly faded, replaced by a creeping unease. The air felt heavy, thick with unspoken stories.
