The performances were all excellent, and there’s potential for a decent movie; however, one actress’s portrayal felt really awkward—she seemed to be wandering around with the demeanor of an animal pleading for scraps. It was quite distracting.

Ada, played by Kate Beckinsale, lacks any real menace; she’s more like a leafy vegetable than a fearsome figure in this exceptionally poor attempt at a tough female action movie.
