Ada, played by Kate Beckinsale, lacks any real menace; she’s more like a leafy vegetable than a fearsome figure in this exceptionally poor attempt at a tough female action movie. There's not much to appreciate about it. The plot feels borrowed and includes some offhand dislike of men, alongside what seems to be an accidental parody of "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels." The action sequences aren’t completely terrible, but that doesn’t compensate for the film’s shortcomings in nearly every other area. Ultimately, this is just another over-the-top female empowerment movie that nobody wanted or needed.
