What a wonderful take on Robert Louis Stevenson’s story about searching for buried treasure on an isolated island. Robert Newton is fantastic playing “Long John Silver,” a shifty, one-legged character who seems capable of anything to get what he wants, and brought in by the naive "Squire Trelawney" to assemble a group heading to Hispaniola, where it’s said Flint's treasure can be found.
