It’s a perfectly acceptable Christmas movie. The film *The Santa Clause* gets off to a rather good start; Tim Allen, as Scott, displays some sharp and funny humor. I thought the initial scenes were really the strongest part of the whole thing, though the remaining 97 minutes are agreeable enough.
