It's hard to see what they were trying to achieve with this reimagining. This was simply a poor decision, resulting in a film far inferior to the initial version. Watching it felt like a complete loss of my time. As someone who loves The Karate Kid franchise, I have to say that this remake ranks among the worst I’ve encountered.
