This is without question the strongest installment in the *Fantastic Four* series, although the competition wasn't particularly fierce. It seems like the fourth attempt really did manage to get things right, setting aside the television movie from the nineteen nineties that never saw release.

It’s a delightful and familiar addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, earning an 80 out of 100 score. The story involves four characters tasked with preventing a cosmic entity from consuming planets. Set in the 1960s within an alternate reality, it manages to combine that era's style and look with futuristic technology seamlessly. The relationships between the family members were explored thoughtfully, incorporat…

As someone who really enjoys the Marvel films, I have to say that this one became an instant classic for me; it's easily among the best movies released in 2025 and ranks high on my list of all-time favorites within the Marvel universe.

“The Fantastic Four: First Steps” possesses a unique appeal, offering an imaginative and visually striking departure from standard MCU movies. Director Matt Shakman transports Marvel's First Family to a 1960s-inspired futuristic setting, which helps the film distinguish itself from typical summer superhero releases. Shakman creates a world filled with vibrant colors, scientists wearing bubble helmets, and streamlined…

Given the disappointing films Marvel has released recently, I approached this film with very little anticipation. It was unexpected to find the movie genuinely acceptable. The plot isn't overly complex; it’s straightforward and predictable, lacking intricate twists or unexpected developments. Still, the way the story unfolds is engaging enough that time just flew by—I didn’t notice the 90 minutes passing. The perf…

While I appreciate a dramatic storyline, I’m not really into scenes packed with action.

The narrative of The Fantastic Four: First Steps largely revolves around Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal) and Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby) experiencing pregnancy and welcoming their child, Franklin into the world. Much of the story focuses on preparing for this new addition to their lives until The Silver Surfer (Julia Garner) arrives with news that Galactus intends to consume Earth. The superhero film evokes a 1960s sci…

It's wonderful news—after what felt like forever, “Sue” (Vanessa Kirby) and "Reed" (Pedro Pascal) are expecting a child! This is cause for joy for her brother "Johnny" (Joseph Quinn), as well as "Ben" (Egon Moss-Bacharach), the quiet fourth member of their group. Their fans were excited about this development, but those happy feelings didn’t last long when an unknown woman appeared, seemingly having arrived on a mete…

This installment distinguishes itself from numerous recent Marvel projects that felt like tiresome slogs through familiar action sequences; THE FANTASTIC FOUR: FIRST STEPS instead delivers an exciting story, elevated by both impressive visuals and genuine emotional depth.

It’s an enjoyable science fiction fantasy with a dependable ensemble, impressive visuals, and a serviceable plot. It isn’t exceptional, but it justifies the cost of seeing it. Still, I don't anticipate wanting to watch it again anytime soon. **3.75/5**

This film, *The Fantastic Four: First Steps*, suggests a team that could very well spearhead the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, while also creating something unique: a story centered on feelings, with impressive visuals, and rooted in genuine emotion. The music composed by Michael Giacchino creates an unsettling atmosphere, and the retro-futuristic design really draws you in—not to mention how good t…
