I have to say, this is easily the most intense horror movie I’ve encountered, and it's also among the very best. The special effects are outstanding, and the plot proves to be considerably better than in the first one; the performances feel more authentic as well. It truly seems destined to become a horror classic.

I really enjoyed one line—the description of the Blob as "a plasmic life form growing at a geometric rate." It made me laugh even as I was writing about it. Aside from that, though, it wasn't great. The over-the-top nature of the film gets old quickly, and it becomes dull just when things should be picking up. Despite its flaws, it’s still worth seeing.
