The film 'Richard Jewell' manages to be a thoughtful and understated work from Eastwood, even if the screenplay isn’t perfect, and it prompts considerable reflection. It seems remarkable, bordering on unbelievable, that someone of Eastwood’s age—89 years old—would still be producing movies this engaging; most people are fortunate to experience a single good day at that stage in life, never mind something like this.
