The sequel surpasses the initial installment considerably, featuring a significant increase in both action sequences and explosive moments. I also found this film to be genuinely funny. The experience left me wanting more; a third chapter feels necessary at this point.

It remains something you should definitely see, though expectations were always going to be hard to meet given how good the first one was.

It was obvious that executives were trying to exploit a successful concept, and in this case, Red simply didn't warrant a follow-up. The low-budget effort to recapture the humor of the original felt like an excessive continuation, similar to what happened with *The Hangover*. Certain stories are best when they stand alone. I gave it a rating of 2/5 stars.
