It was obvious that executives were trying to exploit a successful concept, and in this case, Red simply didn't warrant a follow-up. The low-budget effort to recapture the humor of the original felt like an excessive continuation, similar to what happened with *The Hangover*. Certain stories are best when they stand alone. I gave it a rating of 2/5 stars.
