The film "Polite Society" has a comic book aesthetic. It’s full of energy, clever jokes, and impressive action sequences. Nida Manzoor's rapid editing choices, use of slow motion, and the unique title cards contribute to a very enjoyable first feature-length project. While it isn’t flawless, I really connected with its exaggerated nature.
