It’s got pretty much what you’d anticipate from it, so simply unwind, get comfortable with your snacks, and have a good time. I do want to point out the surprisingly small number of female characters included, which is disappointing. It seems Travis Beacham and Guillermo del Toro borrowed the concept from Evangelion without contributing anything original themselves.

This film has been my top pick for quite some time now; I truly adore it! There isn't a complex plot to follow, but there’s plenty of action to enjoy. The one drawback is that every single confrontation takes place at night and in the rain. A fight scene set during daylight hours would have really elevated the film.
