It’s clear Nicolas Cage is making a deliberate effort to avoid replicating the character of Indiana Jones, and he manages to do so effectively. This is a classic treasure-hunting adventure that's hard not to like. I found Cage very entertaining throughout this fast-moving story. The type of hero who isn't perfect is, in my view, the most appealing kind.
