Doily lives with his psychic wife Haley Comet, who gives readings and has affairs with clients. He spends his days talking with his friends Terrace and Sabado. One summer, Doily is relentlessly pursued by a bee, which eventually kills Terrace. Terrace is then revived by a strange alien object. Soon after, a client of Haley's has his hair cut and shampooed without his consent. A dinner party at friend Colby Jack’s takes a bizarre turn when Colby transforms into a giant pot pie. Doily is also attacked by a monster and a slipper, and relapses on crystal meth. When Terrace reappears as a talking VCR, Doily becomes increasingly frightened. While Haley dismisses these events as odd occurrences, Doily believes someone is trying to kill him.
