The Valley of the Moon is a striking rocky promontory on the Sardinian Sea, Italy, home to a unique community. In 1971, a hippie settlement was founded there. Over the past four decades, the community has evolved, attracting travelers and artists from diverse backgrounds and countries. Mimmo and Antoine, the community's oldest members, spend their winters in quiet solitude, living simply by foraging for food and resources. Their peaceful existence is disrupted in early August by the arrival of a new generation, bringing conflict. An impending police raid threatens to worsen the situation, highlighting the elders' awareness of the community's fading future.
