It’s hard to believe this was filmed with anything more than a potato, and the whole thing feels utterly unnecessary. Even though it runs just under 80 minutes, roughly half of _Clown Kill_ could have been removed without any impact on the story. Feeling more like an episode from an anthology series that I'd rather skip entirely than a legitimate film, this is easily among the least impressive movies I’ve encountered…

It’s certainly something, though far from exceptional; the reasons for its low-budget status are apparent. The story includes a late development that demands patience from the viewer—either stick with it or abandon it entirely. While the violence isn't shown directly, the unexpected turns in the plot do manage to surprise.
