I didn’t find _Monster Trucks_ enjoyable. However, I can see how it might work well for children. Final rating: ★★ - It wasn't really my thing, but I understand why some people would like it.

It’s clear that the filmmakers put a lot of thought into this movie, but ultimately it didn't quite work out. There are echoes of other films in this one, though not necessarily direct copies. It seems to be a trend now to create versions of stories previously meant for adults, geared toward younger audiences and women. Complaining about that feels pointless because it’s likely not who this film was intended for. …
